Microsoft Research India’s Research Fellows Program is currently accepting applications. The Research Fellows program exposes India’s brightest minds to world-class research and cutting-edge technologies. The program prepares students for research, engineering, and entrepreneurial jobs. MSR India employs some of the brightest minds in computer science and technology research.

Roles & Responsibilities

RFs spend one to two years in India with MSR. Various projects require various skill combinations. Current and former RFs have worked on solving complex theoretical problems, pushing the limits of artificial intelligence, designing new programming languages, designing and implementing security protocols at scale, conducting fieldwork in rural India, prototyping communication and sensing hardware, and designing and constructing large software systems and networks. They are united in pursuing academic, industrial, and societal influence.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s (BE/BTech/BS) or master’s (ME/MTech/MS) degree in Computer Science (or a related field) by the summer of 2023. We evaluate individuals based on various criteria, including academic performance, innate intelligence, development abilities, and research and software development enthusiasm.
