About IBM Build A Bot Challenge

IBM has announced Chatbot Making Challenge, i.e., BUILD A BOT CHALLENGE, Automation For a Common Good. This is the second time IBM launched this Chatbot Making Challenge. IBM’s first challenge was earlier this year was a success, and this challenge will be even better with more prizes and swag giveaways! 

Let’s deepen our understanding of RPA’s powers, specifically in association with data sources, artificial intelligence (AI), and other Automation systems such as business logic, data processing, and workflows.

In order to build your solution, you will be given access to a free trial of IBM Robotic Process Automation as a contest participant. More information about the free trial will be available soon, so sign up now to learn more!

The first 50 people who register for the challenge and join the IBM RPA Community will receive a free t-shirt, with more chances to win prizes throughout the competition. We eagerly await your submissions, and please remember to Think Outside the Bot!

Challenge Track #1 – Best IBM RPA Solution for Social Good

Join the battle against the world’s largest most critical challenges while sharpening your development skills. Is RPA capable of bringing about real change for the betterment of society? IBM is encouraging you and your team to master the IBM RPA toolkit, choose an issue to solve, bring your best ideas, and demonstrate what it can achieve in this challenging track.

How can we:

• Identify a powerful RPA use case for social good?
• How about using it to address a current societal issue?

Examples:

• RPA bot for patient registration and appointments

• RPA bot to check a reservation’s immunization status

• RPA bot to establish a bank of coupons for individuals in need to redeem for meals

Challenge Track #2 – Best IBM RPA Solution to Solve a Client Need

We’ve discovered that IBM Business Partners can leverage their experience to quickly master a new tool like RPA and assist their clients in banking, healthcare, retail, and a variety of other industries in developing RPA solutions based on real-world difficulties. Use IBM RPA and other tools/systems to create a new solution for one of your clients in this Business Partner challenge. We urge you to co-create with your clients, even if it is not essential (clients may remain anonymous).

How can we:

• Identify inefficiencies and consumer difficulties that could be automated?
• Use IBM RPA to co-create a new solution?

Example

• Retailers can use RPA bots to manage their distribution supply chains. • Customers can use RPA bots with orchestration to manage customer retention and satisfaction.

Challenge Track #3 – Best IBM RPA Solution to Improve a Workplace Problem

Anyone working in a business environment is familiar with those redundant tasks that require a lot of effort without adding much value. They can often seem like a part-time job. IBM RPA is here to help!

How can we:

• Identify a strong use case for RPA?

• Use it to save our workplace time, money, or both?

Examples:

• RPA bot with intelligent capture to submit your expenses

• RPA bot to automate the process of data analysis and cleaning

• RPA bot to automate the new employee onboarding process
