The locking of COVID-19 has led to unprecedented competition in online studies. At the end of March 2020, Coursera responded by introducing 100 free certificates. Initially, these were supposed to remain free until the end of May. But this gift was so successful at Coursera, that it was extended – from July 31 to 2020.
But things did not end there. Starting in 2021, Cursera allowed students to use the free certificate in a 25+ course list. And towards the end of March, they announced a list of ~ 20 certificate courses at the Holi celebrations, an Indian color festival. Then in April, to celebrate the company’s 9th birthday, they offered 9 free certification courses.
New limited-time offer
Now, Coursera has introduced a new offer. The company has announced 58 courses with free certificates which you can find below. The offer is valid until June 30, 2021. Although this gift is said to be for India only, here at Class Central, we have been able to get free certificates abroad.
Promotions include courses from Duke, Michigan, Google Cloud, AWS, and Yale, among others. Some COVID-19 courses from Johns Hopkins and Stanford University also currently have free certificates.

How Can You Use the Free Course?
Course recovery:
- Click on the subject name in the list below.
- Click the Go to class button, at the top right.
- Wait for the promo bar to pop up.
- Click to register for free.
- Sign in or join Coursera.
- Make sure the tuition fee is deducted, as in the picture below.
