About the Job

In this role, you’ll play an important part in helping to keep Googlers from around the world productive. You will gain experience solving a range of problems across Google’s broad technical ecosystem.

You will help Google’s operations evolve at scale by collaborating with your teammates and partner teams to find innovative ways to make our support environment more efficient.

You’ll provide front-line user support for internal tools and technologies, and external products (e.g. public Google products used by millions of people and 3rd party cloud systems). Roles & Responsibilities

Provide assistance via a variety of channels, including chat, email, phone, video, in-person, and so on (the amount of time dedicated to each will vary based on operational needs).
Troubleshoot issues with Google’s corporate IT resources, apps, and operating systems, which include Linux, Mac OS, Windows, Chrome OS, and mobile platforms.
Assist Google employees with difficulties relating to software, hardware, and networking. Support for video conferencing, remote access, new internal products, and mobile technologies, among other services.
Collaborate and share expertise with fellow Googlers and the rest of the team. Contribute to a variety of activities aimed at improving the user experience, such as process improvement and documentation.

Eligibility Criteria

A diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
Troubleshooting experience with desktops/laptops, phone systems, video conferencing, and/or other wireless devices in a Linux, Mac OS, or Windows networked environment.
Customer service, client interaction, and/or help desk experience are all desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

Completion of a technical certification that is relevant (e.g., Google Career Certificate – Google IT Support Certificate or other comparable certifications.)
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related discipline is required (e.g. Information Systems, Information Technology, Applied Networking, System Administration)
Work experience with desktops/laptops, phone systems, video conferencing, and various wireless devices, including deployment and support.
Ability to quickly respond to shifting priorities and make judgments based on little information.

Contribute to repairs, upgrades, decommissioning, deployments, and cabling, among other things.
