Recently, FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) launched a paid Internship for college students to upskill themselves in the field of new technologies, and grow up their skills by solving real-time client problems.

About FSSAI in detail

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is a government organization that was established by the Food Safety and Standards Act of 2006. It is run by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Indian government. It is the main group in charge of making sure food is safe and meets standards across the country.

The FSSAI internship program will give interns unique chances to learn about different parts of food regulation and food safety administration.

Eligibility Criteria

Full-time students at a Recognized Institute in India or abroad who are studying in one of the following fields are eligible to apply.

a. Pursuing Post Graduate
Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Technology, Food Science & Technology, Food & Nutrition, Microbiology, Edible Oil Technology, Agricultural/Horticultural Sciences, Industrial Microbiology, Toxicology, Public Health, Life Science, Biotechnology, Fruit & Vegetable Technology, and Food Safety & Quality Assurance Bachelor’s/Bachelor of Technology/Bachelor of Engineering from an accredited university or institution.

b. Business Administration, Management, Policy Regulation, and Related Fields – Only at FSSAI (HQ)

c. Postgraduate certificate or degree in media studies, public relations, or mass communication.

d. B.E. / B. Students in their third or fourth year of Computer Science Tech (not first- or second-year students).
Studying software engineering or a closely related field in the natural or social sciences or computer science.

e. Qualifications in Public Policy and Administration at the Postgraduate Level Except for FSSAI (HQ).

f. Bachelor’s/Degree Master’s in Law (Exclusive to FSSAI) (HQ)

Duration Of This FSSAI Internship 2022

The internship will be offered three times a year, for a minimum of two months and a maximum of six months. There won’t be any internships that last less than two months. No questions or applications about a one-month internship will be taken into account.

Prerequisites of this Internship Scheme 2022

All interns would need to bring their laptops to class. FSSAI will give a place to work and access to the internet, but will not pay for employees’ hotel or transportation costs.

Internship Dates & Deadlines

Internship at the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India starting in October 2022 as part of the Internship Scheme 2021.

Those students who have already completed the courses listed above are not eligible and should not apply.
The submission of multiple applications will not be considered.
In the case of the FSSAI laboratory, only technically competent individuals with File No.HR-33012/3/2021-HR-FSSAI will be eligible for internships there.
