The Government Of India has launched 1 Crore+ Free Government Internship for everyone to upskill the diversity of the people, upskill the society and provide them employability, which has been driven by the success of the United States’ Digital Skills initiative. The government of India has decided to make India Global Digital Talent Hub for Indian citizens.
Govt. Of India aim to create 1 crore digital workforce in the emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Aerospace Technology, Automobile, Automation, Blockchain, AR/VR/MR, Big Data, Analytics, BioTechnology, Banking & Finance, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Chemicals & components, Constructions, etc. Basically, in every field of study, they release the global digital Internship for the students, professionals, and every individual.
AICTE to upskill and create a digital workforce of 3,00,000 students in India.
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has collaborated with Miles-Futurense on an initiative called Future Technologies Digital Skilling, which has the goal of enhancing the digital skills of more than 3 lakh students.
The effort was started with the goal of producing a digital workforce in India consisting of 1 crore students who are proficient in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, data analytics, cyber security, and other related topics.
Dharmendra Pradhan, the minister of education for the Union, was the one who officially kicked off the initiative that was a collaboration between the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the Ministry of Education of the Union, and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship of the Union.
Over 50,000 students will receive assistance in expanding their skill sets through the integration of Miles Education’s technology-powered industry student interface app, milestone, as well as through the provision of free live workshops led by industry professionals. In the fields of data engineering, data science, data analysis, data visualization, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, Futurense will provide more than one hundred thousand zero-cost certifications, in addition to more than five thousand plus virtual projects and internships opportunities.
It has been estimated that the Indian workforce needs to acquire 12 million job-specific skills over the next three years, of which 7 million will be in the IT-BPM sector alone, according to Nasscom. In order to bridge this gap, the scheme offers free live online courses and certification from leading providers such as NIIT, upGrad, Simplilearn, DDE Delhi University and others. The course offerings include popular programs like machine learning, big data analytics, web development, digital marketing etc.
Once certified, these individuals will be provided with exclusive access to interview opportunities with top companies across different sectors that are looking to hire digitally skilled employees. Some of these partner companies include Amazon Web Services (AWS), Capgemini India Pvt Ltd., Deloitte Consulting India Pvt Ltd., Google India Pvt Ltd., IBM India Pvt Ltd., Infosys Ltd., Microsoft Corporation India Pvt Ltd., Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and WIPRO Technologies Ltd., among others.
The scheme is a part of the larger Digital India initiative, which aims to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy.
