About the Internship
The Semi-Conductor Laboratory (SCL) offers Internship / Project Work in BE / B. Tech and ME / M. Tech or equivalent student courses that allow them to fulfill their Learning Requirement under the best science / Engineers.
Eligibility and number of seats:
The following categories of students will be able to obtain a Project Work / Internship at SCL:
Students pursuing ME / M. Tech or equivalent courses, preferably in Microelectronics, Electronics or Semiconductor physics from Govt. recognized institutions may be approved for Project Work. The number of seats will be finalized periodically based on the availability of advisors and the suitability/relevance of the topic/project to SCL.
Students pursuing a BE / B. Tech or similar course, from Govt. Well-known institutions may be approved for Internal / Project Work. The number of seats will be finalized periodically based on the availability of advisors and the suitability/relevance of the topic/project to SCL.
Program Fee:
No fees will be charged to students.
The application process for Internship / Work Project:
An interested and qualified student will:
Pass on a letter duly signed by the Head of Institution confirming student details such as Enrollment No. . The letter will be sent on March 31 for Internship training / Project Work starting in June / July of that year and 31st October for Internship / Project Work training starting on 1 January of the following year at the following address:

ME / M. Tech Project Work: Student Resume, which shows existing Projects or areas of interest in the pursuit of courses and specific recommendations to allow a student to do Internship / Project Work in SCL is offered.
The Selection Committee will evaluate the applications received and students who are shortlisted may be invited to be interviewed by the Nomination Committee mentioned above. In line with the Committee’s recommendations, HRDD will submit a set of Application Forms for Students selected for Internship / Project Work to be submitted.
The selected student will be required to deposit an amount of Rs.100 / – in SCL in respect of Operating expenses and ID Card.
Upon receipt of the above duly completed forms, signed by the Mentor and the relevant Head of Department and ID Card expenses, a certificate will be issued to the student.
Project / Internal Work Process:
SCL Mentor will assign the project to the student/assign assignments etc. Once completed the project student will be required to submit one copy of the Project Report to Mentor and the other to HRDD.
Compliance with SCL Safety, Security, and Disciplinary Rules:
Every student registered for Project Work / Internship at SCL will be required to sign an Undertaking of Compliance to the Safety, Security, and Discipline Regulations of SCL.
It may be noted that students from Government / AICTE / University-only institutions will be considered for Project Work / Internship and that SCL reserves the right to reject any BE / B. Tech Internship / Project Work applications or ME / M. Tech Students either close / quit Project Work / Internship without giving reasons.
