What is Citizen Perception Survey?
The Citizen Perception Survey (CPS) is a component of the Ease of Living Index that aims to capture residents’ perceptions of the quality of life in their cities. The poll will assist government administrations in better understanding individuals’ opinions and will aid in improving service delivery and city governance. On behalf of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, we would like to thank you for completing this survey and providing your valuable comments.
The CPS’s goal is to directly record residents’ perceptions of the quality of life in their towns. It collects citizens’ perspectives on public transportation, education, healthcare, water availability, cost of living, and employment possibilities, among other things. Government administrations will use the survey data to get insights into residents’ perspectives and improve service delivery and governance in cities. It receives 30% of the total points under the Ease of Living Index.
Regarding the 2020 Citizen Perception Survey
This year, the Citizen Perception Survey 2022 will be held between November 9 and December 23. It is both offline and online administered. The offline form consists of conducting in-person interviews. It will be administered concurrently with the online survey. The 2022 survey will be performed in over 264 cities to collect and reflect the opinions of over 21 million Indian individuals.
Concerning the Ease of Living Index
The Ease of Living Index is a comprehensive evaluation of Indian cities based on their quality of life, economic capacity, and sustainability. The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs launched the Urban Outcomes Framework (UOF) 2022 in April of this year, which contained the third cycle of this index. The UOF 2022 also includes the Municipal Performance Index (MPI), the Climate Smart Cities Assessment Framework (CSCAF), and the Data Maturity Assessment Framework (DMAF).
