Like Every Year, Google is organizing Hash Code Competition for young coders or programmers to showcase their skills and inner talent by solving real-time problems with their logical and analytical and out of the box thinking skills with their friends. Whether you’re a beginner, a pro, or somewhere in between, Hash Code is fun for everyone.
What is Google Hash Code?
Hash Code, Google’s team-based programming competition, allows you to share your abilities and network with other coders while solving a problem based on a genuine Google engineering challenge! Through an Online Qualification, coders from all over the world will work in small groups of two to four to solve the first challenge. Despite the fact that this round is hosted online, teams can compete side-by-side in locally coordinated Hash Code Hubs. The top teams from this round will compete in the virtual World Finals.
In simple ways, we can say that Hash Code is for students and professionals around the world where individuals pick the team and programming language and Google picks an engineering problem for them to solve.
How it Works?
You’ll have access to our Judge System once you’ve registered for the contest. Our online platform, the Judge System, is where you’ll build your team, join a Hub, practise, and participate in the rounds. During the Online Qualification, you’ll be presented to the challenge via a YouTube livestream, and then your team will have four hours to solve an optimization problem using the programming language and tools of your choosing. By joining a virtual Hub, teams can compete against other teams in their area. The top teams from the Online Qualifications will be invited to the virtual World Finals, where they will compete for cash prizes while working together to solve another problem.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students and professionals of all skill levels who are at least eighteen (18) years old or the age of majority in their country of residence are eligible to participate in the Hash Code Online Qualifications.
- There is no charge to enter the competition.
Prizes:
- 1st Place $4,000 USD.
- 2nd Place $2,000 USD.
- 3rd Place $1,000 USD.
- Google-branded objects, Google-related products, and certificates.
Basic Requirements of Google 2021 Hash Code:
In order to enter a Contest, you must have
- access to the Internet, and
- a valid Google account.
How To Apply?
To compete in Hash Code 2021, you must fulfill the following three steps:
1) build or edit your Coding Competitions profile,
2) register for Hash Code 2021 explicitly, and
3) form a team of two to four persons in the Judge System.
