This Online Webinar, IRIS Webinar Series is organized by IIT Madras. IIT Madras to launch new webinar series to showcase its New Research Initiatives to the international Scientific Community.
IRIS is expected to produce the following results:
- Raise awareness of the research landscape at IIT Madras among the scientific community.
- Public outreach to convey research topics of national and international importance to the general public
- Objectives Attract bright students to IIT Madras for graduate research.
- Objectives Increase international participation and engagement in IIT Madras research.
About IIT Madras
The Government of India designated the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) as an “Institute of National Importance” in 1959.
The Institute’s activities in many disciplines of science and technology are carried out through 16 academic departments and a number of sophisticated multidisciplinary research academic centers.
In a range of specializations, the Institute provides undergraduate and postgraduate programmes leading to B.Tech., M.Sc., M.B.A., M.Tech., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees.
IIT M is a residential institute with a faculty of over 580 and a student body of over 9,500. There are students from 18 different nations enrolled here.
