About NALSAR

A statute of the state of Andhra Pradesh established the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) in 1998. The University has hosted important discussions on law and justice since its beginnings. These discussions have acknowledged that concerns of fairness emerge in all legal endeavors, including courts, corporations, education, and administration. The University has sponsored crusades for land rights, disability empowerment, and against moral policing and hates speech by using law as a tool for social change. NALSAR is dedicated to fostering an ethical legal culture that upholds and supports the rule of law. The social justice agenda is serious business, but the University thinks that establishing a rule of law society is a long-term endeavor that can be sustained if approached with hope and good humor.

NALSAR is one of the country’s leading legal schools, with students coming from all around the country and instructors from both home and abroad. We are proud of our position, but it does not define us. Students and administrators like making fun of themselves and others. At NALSAR, you’ll find both dark and light-hearted humor.

Legal education is delivered in an inter-disciplinary manner, in keeping with the liberal approach. As a result, there is convergence in the development and execution of the curriculum in the various degree and diploma courses between the fields of law, social sciences, humanities, and management studies. We believe that without teaching being accompanied by both theoretical and empirical study, it becomes routine and mediocre. As a result, a proactive symbiotic relationship between teaching and research has been formed in the operation of academic programs.

The University in all its years of existence has attempted varied strategies to create a vibrant scholastic environment. We continue in honest reflection on what works and what does not as we strive to realize our aims and objectives.

About Indian Constitution

The Indian Constitution contains 395 articles and 12 schedules, making it the world’s longest written constitution. Just compare it with other countries Constitutions. For example, the UK has no written constitution, while the US Constitution contains only seven articles.

Not only this but since 1951 about 90 articles and more than 100 amendments have been added. However, since the articles are not added separately as part of an existing article (e.g. Article 21A, 35A, etc.) the total number of articles remains the same at 395.

B.R Ambedkar is the Father of the Indian Constitution.
