IIT Gandhinagar invited applications for SRIP (Summer Research Internship Program) 2022 for Graduates & Undergraduates to upskill their skills and advance their knowledge by providing them with real-time experience.
ABOUT SUMMER RESEARCH INTERNSHIP PROGRAM (SRIP)
The flagship program aims to bring together students and instructors from nationally renowned universities right here on our campus. It will enable visitors to take part in ongoing research projects, be mentored by IITGN staff, and form close ties and collaborations with their host institutions.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Applicants must collaborate with an IITGN professor. Applicants are encouraged to look over the list of collaborating academics as well as the descriptions of the projects available.
- Applicants can apply for internships based on their prior experience and interests. They can apply for projects that aren’t related to their declared degree specialities.
- At the end of the tenure, applicants will be required to give a presentation to the institute and submit a report.
SRIP 2022 will be conducted in an offline mode under the current scenario.
In-person/offline mode: Students in this mode are expected to work on the project in person and communicate with the faculty mentor on a regular basis while on campus. This mode is available to all students (Internal and External). On successful completion of the internship, the interns will earn a stipend and a certificate.
Duration Of this Summer Internship India
Candidates must be available for at least 8 weeks within the summer break of IITGN. The last date for receiving applications is March 25, 2022.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree at a prominent institution in India
- Students who are interested in Research Training.
Perks & Benefits
- After the internship, a weekly stipend of Rs. 2000 would be paid. However, the honorarium for faculty-funded initiatives may differ.
- Summer interns will be housed in hostels, and students will be responsible for paying the applicable hostel fees.
