About the Course

This course is for students who do not currently look at computer users. Designed for students who work with technology every day but do not fully understand how it works under the hood or how to solve problems when something goes wrong, this course fills the gaps, empowers students to use and solve technology successfully. Through lectures on hardware, the Internet, multimedia, security, programming, and web development as well as the study of current events, the course equips students with modern technology and prepares them for the future.

How You Can Take This Course

Even if you are not a student at Harvard, you are welcome to “take” this free course through OpenCourseWare by working six weeks of study material. If you would like to submit six study assignments with feedback, be sure to create an edX account, if you have not already done so. Ask questions along the way through any of the study communities!
