The Government of India launched Digital India as a flagship program to transform the country into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. As part of this initiative, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeiTy) offers the Digital India Internship Scheme, which allows students to work on cutting-edge technologies and gain practical experience in the field of information technology.
About Digital India Internship 2023
Digital India Internship is a MeiTy initiative that provides opportunities for Indian students from recognized universities in India who have obtained at least 60% in the most recent degree or certificate examination and are pursuing B.E/ B.Tech, M.E/ M.Tech/ MCA, MSc (Electronics)/ MSc(CS)/ MSc(IT), DoEACC ‘B’ level.
Aims Of This Internship
This would allow students to gain firsthand and practical work experience while being guided by a qualified and experienced Supervisor/Mentor. It also aims to encourage active participation in the learning process through experimentation and application of classroom knowledge.
Duration Of This Internship
The internship must last at least two months and can be extended up to Three months depending on the candidate’s performance and the Ministry’s requirements.
Stipend
Get Stipend upto 10,000 Per Month and Free Digital India Internship Certificate
Selection Process
NIC will select 20 students on the basis of merit for Summer and Winter sessions in the areas specified. The internship will be available at the NIC Headquarters in New Delhi as well as at various NIC State Centres.
