It is one of the eight new Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Indian Government under The Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 2011, which establishes the eight new IITs and declares IT-BHU as an Indian Institute of Technology.

The Lok Sabha enacted the Act on March 24, 2011, and the Rajya Sabha passed it on April 30, 2012. It began operations on the campus of IIT Kharagpur on July 23, 2008, and moved to the city of Bhubaneswar on July 22, 2009.

Students registered for a degree at a government-funded technical institution, as well as students referred by various academies, who wish to do an internship or take advantage of laboratory/other academic facilities/short-term training at IIT Bhubaneswar in fields related to the School of Basic Sciences, Earth, Ocean & Climate Sciences, Electrical Sciences, Infrastructure, Mechanical Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences and Management, and Minerals, Metallurgical and Microbial Sciences.

Tenure

IIT Bhubaneswar’s Winter Vacations are three weeks long (Winter Vacation of the Institute: 22.12.2020 to 15.01.2021). Interaction with faculty members in an online/offline mode will be the mode of the internship, depending on the present scenario.

If hostel accommodations are available, students accepted for internships may be provided with them upon payment of applicable fees. Only after being accepted for an internship should an application for accommodation be submitted to the Dean of Student Affairs via the faculty supervisor and the HOS for approval. The student is responsible for covering the costs of food and other amenities.

How To Apply?

Candidates should include the following documents with their internship application: –

Photograph: A recent passport-size photograph in JPG format with a dimension of 200 260 pixels and a file size of less than 100 kb is required.
Signature: Must be in JPG format with a size of less than 100kb and a dimension of 30060 px.
It is required that the transcript be in PDF format (size of less than 200kb).
The resume must be submitted in PDF format (size of less than 200kb).
Bonafide Certificate: Must be in the PDF format as specified (size of less than 200kb).

Beginning with Matriculation, mark/grade sheets, certificates, and documents: Each file must be in PDF format and be under 200kb in size.
Any other relevant educational and professional experience documents and certificates: The file must be in PDF format (each size of less than 200kb).

After selection, a hard copy of the application form along with the requisite documents signed by the student should be submitted at the time of joining the internship in the respective Schools of the Institute.

After Completion of this IIT Bhuvaneshwar training, you will get a Training Certification verified by IIT Bhuvaneshwar. And The student must submit a work report at the end of the internship, and a “Training Completion Certificate” will be given to the student. IIT Bhubaneswar will not award any grades for work completed within this scope.
