About the Program

The Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) has launched the IET India Scholarship Awards, which aims to recognize and promote India’s future engineering leaders. The prize will be granted to undergraduate engineering students for the fifth time to recognize their originality, innovation, leadership, and achievement. Students in the first, second, third, or fourth year of engineering programmed can apply for scholarships of up to INR 5,00,000.

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) is one of the world’s largest professional associations for engineers, working collaboratively with industry, academia, and government to create a better world. Shri Ratan Tata (Former Chairman, Tata Sons) is an eminent engineer. Honorary Fellows of the IET include N R Narayana Murthy (Infosys Chairman Emeritus) and TV Ramachandran (President, Broadband India Forum and Ex-Resident Director, Vodafone).

Eligibility

Open to students in their first, second, third, or fourth year of a full-time regular undergraduate engineering programme (in any field) approved by AICTE/UGC.
Applicants must have completed all regular credit courses in one sitting.
Applicants must have received at least 60% in aggregate or a CGPA of at least 6.5 on a 10-point scale in the previous semesters.
Applicants must have received more than 60% or an equivalent grade in Class 12. (or equivalent).
Note: Applications are open to all IET members and non-members, as well as all engineering branches recognised by the AICTE/UGC.

Benefits

The selected scholars will receive the scholarship as mentioned below –

For Regional Round of Selection

There will be at least 4 regional rounds and the scholarship award will be as follows –

Regional round winner – INR 50,000 + Certificate
Regional round runner-up – INR 25,000 + Certificate

For National Finals

The winners of the regional round will compete for national finals and the scholarship award will be as follows –

Winner – INR 1,20,000 + Certificate
1st runner-up – INR 80,000 + Certificate
2nd runner-up – INR 60,000 + Certificate

Note: If a student wins the scholarship both at the Regional and National level, he/she will be awarded a Certificate for both the levels and the prize money for the national level only.

Step 4: Fill out the registration form with all of your information and submit it.

Step 5: After registering, login with your registered email address and password.

Step 6: Fill out your personal information, academic information, professional activities, and co-curricular activities in the scholarship application.
