About Free AWS re/Start program
AWS re/Start is a free, full-time, 12-week skills-building program that helps people who are unemployed or underemployed get ready for entry-level jobs in the cloud. AWS re/Start is working with Tata STRIVE, a project of the Tata Community Initiative Trust, to help close the gap between vocational education and the needs of the business world.
Students who finish the AWS re/Start program can look for entry-level cloud jobs in operations, site reliability, and infrastructure support. In these jobs, graduates use Python scripts, help with Linux operating systems, run network infrastructures, deploy basic AWS core services, and do some of the first troubleshooting.
Each cohort of students completes a 12-week training program that includes scenario-based learning, hands-on labs, and coursework, with the aid of experienced mentors and certified trainers. AWS re/Start helps learners with resume development and interview coaching as they prepare for interviews with prospective companies. The purpose of the program is to help jobless and underemployed individuals who might not otherwise have access to the necessary technical education acquire the skills necessary for entry-level cloud positions. Tata STRIVE assists learners in acquiring job-specific skills, networking with companies, and launching cloud-based careers.
