Recently, Madurai Smart City Limited in collaboration with the AICTE platform released an Internship Programme for Engineering Students.

Madurai Corporation started Hiring Interns for a duration of three months and at a location, Madurai, India, and CSE, IT, ECE, and Communication Engineering Students are eligible for this Internship Programme.

This is an AICTE Free Internship program for students and after completion of this Internship, everyone will get Free Internship Certificate. This internship is also a stipend-based internship.

About Madurai Corporation

Madurai Corporation is the state of Tamil Nadu’s second-largest municipal corporation. On November 1, 1866, Madurai was established as a municipality under the Town Improvement Act of 1865. Because of the rapid growth in population and the expansion of administrative limits, it was promoted to a corporation on May 1, 1971.

On September 28, 2010, the Madurai Corporation’s authority was expanded to encompass the city corporation, three municipalities, three town panchayats, and eleven village panchayats lying within the Madurai Corporation’s jurisdiction. As a result of this expansion, the Corporation’s total area has risen significantly from 51.82 square kilometers to 147.997 square kilometers, and the number of employees has increased significantly.

Madurai Corporation is currently revising and strengthening its Smart City concept in collaboration with all stakeholders. The inhabitants of Madurai would have to provide the most important inputs for amending and enhancing the current proposal. Citizens’ participation and input will aid us in selecting priority areas as well as identifying flaws in the current concept.
